The making of a painting

A friend introduced me to a place called Painting with A Twist. You can go to their site, find a location, and select a day with a painting you like then go and paint it. Half of these paintings you look at and they look quite complicated. However, when you get there, they have all the supplies you need and step by step instructions on how to create your painting. What I love about it is that your painting is not going to be completely identical to the original but it always turns out great. I’ve always enjoyed painting so this is right up my alley. In a series of pictures, I will show you how I created a painting called “Lady in the Rain.”

This is what you start out with.
Now we started to really add color and paint
“A Lady in the Rain”
The finished product! This took a solid 3 hours to paint but it goes by very fast! If you enjoy painting, I would recommend trying this out. It is something fun to do alone, with a friend, or even with a group. Most of the places offer a painting everyday!
Here is the first one I painted back in March:
“Cobblestone Walk”
And thats all folks!
God Bless,
