Reconnecting with my mentor

Today was such a fun day! Around noon, my dear friend Lindsey (my L!) came to pick me up and we made our way to visit Melanie. Melanie was our caregiver all during highschool in our youth group at FBCE.

side note: A caregiver was a leader of a small group. Ours were broken up into boy groups and girl groups, then seperated by grades. Our group had a consistent 6 girls that attended regularly.

She was one of the most influencial people in both of our lives. She kept us going through rough times and always knew the right words to encourage us through the Lord. She recently had a baby, Evan. He is a cutie! Me and Linds enjoyed our time! I think the best part was seeing her after all these years and picking up where we left off as if no time had gone by. We had heart-to-heart conversations along with ones that made us laugh just like old times. I love reconnecting with people. I look forward to hanging out again over the upcoming years.
Here are a few pictures from today…
